Support » Fixing WordPress » Media Library Issue – Scripts?

  • Hello,

I am relativly new to the world of wordpress and am still learning the behind the scenes stuff so please be gentle with me.

I have 3 worpdress websites installed using installatron with my web host. Last week there was an update to wordpress which seemed to remove the media library. All the images I had previously uploaded were not displaying on the websites and when I clicked on media library from the dahsboard, it took me to “this page cannot be found”.

However when I looked at my file manager all the files were there.

I noticed in my file manager too that my wordpress website files were being modified regualrly (not by me) perhaps even automatically.

After spending the week battling with my web host to help me restore the sites as I was conviced it was an issue with the web host (still not convinced its not) they have today advised me that the issue was with the update and I “need to check the scripts”

This means nothing to me and they wouldn’t elabroate and told me to employ a web developer to help. Well I run a very small business consisting of me only and that is impossible.

I am hoping somebody on here has had or solved this issue before or can guide me about checking scripts so I can ensure this doesn’t happen with future updates.
