Counters not working

    On a new install visitors are using the buttons, but they are still showing a zero count. I have just tested by clicking the twitter button, it adds a tweet to my twitter page, but button still shows zero. Others have used the facebook button, still showing zero count.
    The buttons are in a widget, not on each page. In settings I have counter setting to show share count, and only once.
    Is there a solution to this?

    Hi,

    Chances are that your host does not allow the use of file_get_contents(), required by this plugin.

    Please excuse another plug for the Plus version (I’ve just responded to another support ticket of yours), the Plus version uses a different method which shall work for you – http://www.simplesharebuttons.com/plus

    Thanks for the reply, I will look at the plus version.
    However, I have had no issue with any other plugin I have used over a period of 2 years relating to my hosting now allowing specific php functions. I will get my hosting checked out.
