   Fine in 2.6 but seems to break the posts in 2.6.1

   My mistake. It's not 2.6.1 at all. The widon't function of wp-typogrify breaks the nextgen smooth gallery shortcode.

   wp-Typogrify has now officially been replaced by wp-Typography, which plays much nicer with shortcodes.
