Getting Carousel to display all pictures in a Post

    Hi,

    Currently I’m using a plugin called “Lightbox Plus Colorbox” to act as my lightbox for images.

    I’d like to move to the Carousel in Jetpack due to issues I’m having with the way “Lightbox Plus Colorbox” handles image captions, but I have a problem with it. It doesn’t display all the images in a given post in the carousel, only the images in a given gallery.

    So if I have several galleries in a single post they have to be opened separately.

    “Lightbox Plus Colorbox” allows this by simply setting every image in the post to “Link to ‘Media File'”.

    Is there any way to accomplish this with Carousel?

    I’d like all images in a post, singles and galleries to be contained within a single carousel for that post.

    Hi,

    With JP’s Carousel, that currently is not possible. The Carousel is limited to an individual gallery.

    To understand better, so if I had a post of X single images, they would all be displayed in a single carousel. If I had X single images and Y galleries, would you want to see them in one carousel?

    Frankly, this type of enhancement isn’t on the roadmap, but I’d like to record it as we consider future enhancements.

    Hi Brandon,

    The option would be nice to have. When I create separate “galleries” within a post I’m really just trying to create an arrangement of images that’s responsive to the layout. Which is why I like the “mosaic” gallery.

    Within a post I have the option of viewing all the media “uploaded to this post”. It would be nice to be able to designate the carousel feature to use all the media uploaded to a post and not only the media assigned to a single gallery within a post.

    Interesting. I’ll think upon this and bring it up during the next chat to see if it is something that we’re like to add to the roadmap.
