• i have aproximately 2000 posts on my travel website and i would like to get rid of the /%year%/%monthnum%/%day% structure as I heard its quite better for SEO and I don’t really organize the website with “archive”, I mean, I just don’t use it at all.

Now, my website has 12,000 views per day. if I easily remove this /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ AND make this /%postname%/, wouldn’t this kill all my seo since all pages on the website move place?

    any help please?

    thank you in advance

After reading some other posts here on the forum, my question now is:

Should I actually remove date from post permalinks? it seems its good to leave numbers between site name and post in terms of performance to wordpress better distinguish posts and pages structure.

maybe i just leave it like this. 🙂

    opinions and tips please?

If you have 12.000 views per day you don´t have any problems with SEO. Content is king, not your permalinks. Leave it like it is.

Personally I’d install the Redirection plugin, and then use

    /%category%/%postname%/
