• Hi,

I would very much appreciate your help. My site has two(2) Contact-Form7 forms on it:
    http://drbevinsb.com/ (form not working)
    http://drbevinsb.com/contact/ (form working)

I can not get both forms to work. It seems either one, or the other.

    I have:
    – installed the wp-mail-smtp plugin and have configured to use the PHP mail function (can’t use ssl smtp settings due to host restrictions – not hosting domain email there)
    – checked server error logs for php errors (none)
    – deleted and recreated the form that’s not working over and over (front page appointment maker)

Can anyone help me figure out what might be causing the issue? I would think that if one works, both should work…but it’s not the case.

    Thank you in advance,
    Andrew

  • I tested and got same error on both forms.

CF7 plugin appears to be working correcty at http://drbevinsb.com/ (form not working). Getting following eror, which is what you would expect when have a problem with sending email from this form.

    {"mailSent":false,"into":"#wpcf7-f1303-p10-o1","captcha":null,"message":"Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method."}

I note that this form does not have email field which other form does. Your host may require a valid return email address to send email.

Only other suggestion is to check carefully your email address settings for this form in comparison with other form.

See Contact Form 7 Email Issues for explanation of range of email issues.

Thanks for your suggestion. I added an email field, but still no go…

The form on our front page still will not send: http://drbevinsb.com/

The form on the Contact page does send.

I’ve checked settings over and over and just don’t see a difference. Any other thoughts?

My testing giving same error on both forms indicates you may have a general problem sending emails from your site, which is contrary to your description of the problem. Nevertheless at this stage I believe you have little choice but to work carefully through each of the potential email problems at Contact Form 7 Email Issues.

I was having the same failed to send message and I found out what happened.
Evidently the 3.6 upgrade took out the mailing information from my contact form.
If you go to your individual Contact Form admin and you look below the form area where is says Mail – message body,to:, From:, Subject:.
All of those fields were blank.
Once I entered in the information the mail form worked.
And if you don’t remember of how those fields need to be formatted you can just create a new Untitled form and cut and paste from what was created there.

    hope this helps.
