   I'm new to WordPress. If I download at home the latest s/w, enter my hosting site and whatever else is needed to get started, then decide I want to also make revisions to my new Web page at my work computer, do I need to do the same download, host link, etc to my work computer?

   Or can I just download the WP s/w at work and log in with my existing ID/PW?

   boaterbob, WordPress doesn't get installed on your desktop machine. It needs to be installed on a server that you will access through a web browser. Once installed you will set up a username/password which you can then use to access the control panel from anywhere.
