   I have a wordpress running at mydomain/go (ie within the go folder of my site).

   I'd like a completely separate wordpress to be running at mydomain/newsite/go

   then i can point a domain name i just bought at mydomain/newsite/go and so effectively be running two sites in the one.

   is that possible without screwing up the first one?

   Sure you can. Some problems occur when WP is at root and you add another in subdirectory, but that too can be resolved.

   Having said that, you might like to plan ahead for near future when codebases of single WordPress and WordPress Multi-User will be merging in WP 3.0. So with one install of WordPress, you can enable multiple blogs for your single install in version WP 3.0, .

   No problem. Please change dropdown on right sidebar to Resolved and start another topic if you find other WP challenges. Cheers.
