Can someone tell me why my 1st post on my blog doesn't open up on its own, and instead it seems to fail to open, yet my other posts will open up on their own please?

    Also using latest wordpress 3.0.2.

  2. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

In layman's terms your web server barfed.

As a troubleshooting step, try resetting your permalinks to something simpler (lose the seo word in your permalink structure) just to see if that gets rid of that redirect loop.

    Thanks for the reply Jan,

    Are you saying I shouldn't have;
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%category%/%postname%/?

Or just that seo as a category is too short?

I only redone all my posts yesterday.

    Thanks Jan,

I've changed my permalink, and its liking it again. I'll try with a new post later and see what happens after that.

    Thanks for the reply!

My most recent post works once posting, then after a few hours it comes up with -

Safari browser - Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://www.cosmikcarrot.com/blog/2010/12/03/packages/seopackages/”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.

    Any ideas???

  6. Only the usual troubleshooting tips which you may have tried already.

1 - Perform a full backup of your blog. This is your safety net and won't solve the problem but will let you get back to where you are right now.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup

2 - Once you have your backup in a safe place, disable ALL of your plugins.

3 - Switch your theme to Twenty Ten.

4 - Reset your permalinks one more time.

After this does the problem still occur? If no, the switch back to your theme, test. Put back the plugins one at at time and test each time.

If it's theme or plugin related then this should let you determine that.

    Good luck.
