Redirect blog and all pages to new site from a folder on same url

    I have an old WP blog (blog.mywebsite.com) that I want to redirect with all it’s posts to the blog page on my new WP site(www.mywebsite.com/blog). The blog WP installation is in a folder that is in the same root directory as the new site. I’ve created a redirect from blog.mywebsite.com to the new location, http://www.mywebsite.com/blog.

    I am getting a 500 error message for any old blog post address, ie. blog.mywebsite.com/blog-post. Do I have the correct redirect to accomplish this, or is there another that I should be using for posts?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Are the redirects used at the old site? They need to be there and not at new site.

    Thanks for responding Pioneer Valley.

    Yes, I added a redirect using the function offered at the host. I didn’t create individual redirects for all posts.
