   Hello,

   i have some questions regarding the wordpress gallery feature.

   If the galleries we upload are not in posts filed under gallery category is it possible to still be able and have a gallery page that lists all galleries?

   I'm really having trouble understanding how the gallery in wordpress works although i read all faqs icould find.

   I tried testing the NextGen gallery and although it's easy to use i think it's redundant with wordpress 2.5and above.

   What i am saying is that i never upload pictures in posts filed under gallery.All my pictures are integrated into the posts that are in several categories.And i want to have a gallery page that lists all my posts galleries.

   I don't know if that makes sense.

   Set up a separate category called 'gallery'. Then just add that category to any posts with images that you want in the gallery, in addition to any other categories that the post already has.

   You can then add a link to the gallery category alongside your other pages in the sidebar using the EasyRedirect plugin.

   If you want a demo look at my gallery. I've used a 'photos' tag, not a 'gallery' category, and I have hardcoded the link into sidebar.php, but it's essentially the same idea - is that what you're looking for?

   Thank you Steve, i thought of that but my problem is that i don't want the text to appear in the gallery category. If i file my posts under gallery then in the gallery category page it will show the whole post along with the gallery attached to it.

   I am now thinking of just uploading all my pics in gallery only posts and then insert the id of each gallery iwant. Too much work, like starting over but don't see any better solution.

   Hi, what exactly do you mean by the above..? Why is NextGEN redundant with 2.6+?
