Homepage title/description doesn't get saved.

    Hello and thank you for taking a look at our problem!

    We are using Yoast SEO plugin, and using a static page as our front page.

    When we go to edit page, update the page title and description and then hit save- nothing happens.

    On all other pages we can edit titles/descriptions without a problem.

    Here is how the titles are handled in our theme:

    <title><?php wp_title(); ?> | <?php bloginfo('name'); ?> </title>

    Any ideas?
