new user registration: big increase since a few days

    hi, I hope someone can help me. on my site the “everyone can register” box is not flagged and I use a captcha plugin. however since a few days I get several mail notifications (20 or more a day) of new user registering on my site (they al all spambots) but I can’t see them in the user admin panel on my backend. there is no one of these new registrations, only the users I have created are displayed. any suggestions about?
