Well, I downgraded back to version 3.1.2 and everything is back to normal and working fine !! I guess that I won’t be upgrading any time soon.
Thanks.
Yeah I had to do the same thing as well. Seems to be the only solution until there is a fix.
Seems very strange because all work fine in my test. Someone can try to install the 3.1.4 clearing the cache in the phpFlickr folder? Maybe the cache could be a problem
I cleared the cache in the phpFlickr folder. But I have the same problem.
As a test, I copied my site to my local machine and I’m running it locally using “server2go”. I upgraded to 3.1.4 and now I get API Key is not valid that everyone is talking about.
I checked all the threads for a solution but nothing works.
I’ll stay with 3.1.2.
Thanks.
How can I downgrade back to 3.1.2 ?
Anyone can give me the API Key that doesn’t work? Because I can’t replicate the error, seems that phpFlickr has different behavior depending on different factors. My email is miro.mannino@gmail.com
To get back to version 3.1.2 I did the following steps:
– Using Filezilla (or any other file manager, ftp client) I renamed the “flickr-photostream” directory to something else;
– I then uploaded the “flickr-photostream” directory from a previous backup;
– Reactivate the plug-in if needed;
Thanks,
I cleared out the cache in the upload/phpFlickrCache folder and it seemed to have fixed the problem. More than 3 images were showing up now. However, will this be something that is needed to do regularly for maintenance when I add more images to a set?
I have the same problem at my multisite installation (for example http://derentspannen.de/2014/07/01/drei-eulen-im-park/ ). I restored older version from backup so now the plugin works again.
Miro, I just sent you my Flickr API key in case you didn’t get one so far
I tried with your keys and they work. Hence, probably the problem is in the particular configuration of the server (e.g. CURL is not installed and phpFlickr can’t use the socket too). To solve the problem now you don’t have to upload an old version of the plugin, but simply an old version of phpFlickr. I will provide to put all the phpFlickr to a github repository where you can download and substitute with the version that fits for each of you. Sorry for the problems, but it is not a bug related to the Flickr Photostream plugin.
I’m not expert but i dont see how an old version of phpflickr will help. Didnt flicker just change to demand https connections, therefore old version of phpflickr definitely wont work as they were http ?
where can i get version 3.1.2 of the plugin ? I only installed it at 3.1.4 so i have no backup.
Just upgraded to 3.1.5 am now getting
web service endpoint returned a “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden” response when trying to save settings.
If you want to try the 3.1.2, download it from: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12453849/miromannino/FlickrPhotostream312.zip
But I suppose it will be the same, because the 3.1.2 as the same phpFlickr version of the 3.1.5.
But it is strange, because the “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden” appears with the phpFlickr version that is in 3.1.4. Have you the possibility to restart the server? Seems that you still have the old version of phpFlickr
hello, please help. i had a working version, when flickr went to HTTPS, it broke for me. I have used 3.1.5, i have cleared the whole directory, i have uploaded new version, i have tried EVERYTHING i can think of.
please help.
