query related database with short code

    I have a database of non profit organizations and a separate database of members of these organizations. Visitors can query the organization database and see the related data. I want this user query to also return a link to the list of the organization members.

    Can I use abase short code, placed in the organization results page, to grab the “organization” name (which is also a field in the member database) and query the membership database and either display the list or provide a link to the list?
