Comments not being searched

    I am not getting any results from my comments. It looks like none of my comments are being displayed in the search results. I have Comment Text weight to 5 and Index and search these comments is set to all. I am search on an exact phrase, this phrase exists in my posts and my comments. It finds all the results for posts but doesn’t for the comments. I am unsure why this is.

    Comments will never appear in the search results by themselves. Instead, the comment search works so that whenever the search matches a comment, the post with the comment appears in the results. Relevanssi cannot handle comments as individual objects.

    So, a feature, not a bug.

    Sorry, for clarification I mean it is not pulling in the posts with the comments in them that match the search. I have a phrase that is in the comments section of the post but that post is not showing up in the results.

    If by exact phrase you mean the “” operator, that doesn’t work with comments.
