• Hi there,

Just testing this plugin out for the first time – what a handy item! I’m constantly telling clients not to put accents in their file names, but do they listen? NO! 😛

I did notice, however, that where as the plugin does a good job on accents, it doesn’t alway catch other common symbols.

The first one I saw was a certain kind of apostrophe, which my French computer generates automatically when creating screenshots.

    Capture d’écran 2014-07-09 à 20.42.35
    becomes
    jennybeaumont_capture-d’ecran-2014-07-09-a-20.42.35

I then tested with some other symbols, including a keyboard-generated apostrophe (which is a slightly different character)

    hello@’$image©$ça_alors
    becomes
    jennybeaumont_hello@image©ca_alors

So the apostrophe is removed in this case. I work with a lot of photographers, and they’re constantly putting © in their image names. These seem to be more stable than accents, but it still doesn’t seem like good practice.

What would you think about adding the possibility to edit the list of excluded characters?

    cheers!
