Downloads menu not showing when 7 CPT

    The menu position of the ‘downloads’ post type is all handled by WP. I’d guess the way you are registering your post types has specifically set the position and overwritten it.

    You hit the nail on the head.
    To be safe, I delete menu_position parameters of my CPT.
