Customising the checkout page

Hi, I’ve minimal understanding of html/css coding, and clueless with php (if that’s needed). I’m just wondering if it’s possible at all to redefine the checkout page.
I’m hoping to add/shift the header to the right side, change the fonts used and to shift the paypal checkout button to the right. Where/how can I do this level of customisation? Please take a look at URL below for a pictorial explanation?
PS. I’ve replaced the paypal checkout button and the delete bin, the original ones work well with white background but looks weird on black.
