  • You don’t need to install or buy anything, You just need to allow WordPress to take over the root domain.

    Hey there,

Sounds like you’re confused between the WordPress.com domain mapping and domain mapping for a self-hosted WordPress installation.

You’re running a self-hosted WordPress install, so the WordPress.com method — telling you to go into the Store and purchase an upgrade — won’t work.

To map a domain to your /wp/ folder, you’ll need to go through your hosting provider. Usually this means changing the document root for your domain, e.g. from /public_html/ to /public_html/wp/

    Hey there,

    Thanks for helping.
So i managed to link the document root folder to my wordpress, however, now the images are not showing up.

Is there a reason how i can solve this?
