After Upgrading to Pro.. remove non-pro?

I think I know but want to be sure.. as I can’t find it specifically addressed:

It installs ‘pro’ as a separate plugin, as opposed to enabling features of existing plugin. One deactivates ‘old’ and activates Pro.

– Can and should I remove the non-pro plugin?
– any caveats/ramifications to that? or to ‘not’ deleting it?
