New to WP - can't seem to get the install to work - follwed all of the directions carefully, but each time I tried to FTP using Dreamweaver - the FTP process locked up, so I used Filezilla and it seemed to work after many prompts to update existing files (??) but when I tried to locate the "blog" folder - as I renamed the WP folder blog - I get this:
Error establishing a database connection
You'll have to be more specific. Filezilla is the right way to go, but it sounds like you have some problems with your wp-config file, or the source of your WordPress files. First, make sure that you uploaded all the WordPress files into the "blog" directory (or wherever your wordpress site will be located). You also have to have a DATABASE, a USER for that database, and a PASSWORD for that database. These settings will all need to be entered into your wp-config properly or you will see the Error establishing a database connection... error. You aren't going to be renaming any folders! If you rename a folder, it will ruin your site. If you just can't get this to work see if your host has a program like Fantastico or installatron, or, even better, Simple Scripts: http://www.bestofthewebhosts.com/simplescripts_review.php
No program is ever as good as a manual install if done properly, but Simple Scripts is as good as it gets for a program.

HELP!
I did get wordpress to load and was operating fine, but the URL was domain/blog/wordpress and I wanted to change it to just domain/blog.
I deleted wordpress from my server and reloaded everything from scratch, this time renaming the wordpress folder blog as mentioned in the five minute install instructions.
I redid the config.php file - used filezilla to upload everything a and now I lost my log-in page. It still keeps trying to fing domain/blog/wordpress and not just domain/blog
I couldn't even log in here on the wordpress site - even with the correct password. I had to get in through this previous post.
Any suggestions?
