   Is wordpress just for blogs and posting or do some people run 100 + page websites using wordpress.

   Yes wordpress can be used as a CMS many people do it very succesfully.

   WordPress is awesome! It can do ANYTHING! If you want a magic carpet to impress your girlfriend ... Use WordPress! ;)
   okay... maybe that's an exaggeration, but combining plugins and knowing a little bit of code you can do an awful lot with WordPress, just as Jeremy said.
