• Hi,

I’m having a frustrating time with my blogging experience. Every time I go to post or edit a blog post and hit publish or update, I lose a majority of my post.

I usually work around it by using my wordpress app on my iphone but it’s pretty limiting because then I can’t add any optimizepress elements without screwing the whole post up.

    I’m using the redbel theme.

    Thanks in advance.

    Clinton

  • Can you list the plugins that you have active?

    Sure.

    Akismet
    Anti-spam
    Blogger Importer
    BlogSense Connect
    BrainHost Website Configuration
    Dynamic Content Gallery
    Easy Privacy Policy
    Feed WordPress SEO Fix
    Google Analytics for WordPress
    Hello Dolly
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Magic Action Box
    OptimizePress
    PG (Unified) Page Templates
    Related Posts
    Traffic Counter Widget
    Use Google Libraries
    VSTEMPLATE-creator
    White Label CMS
    WordPress Database Backup
    WordPress SEO
    WP Robot 3
    WP Super Cache
    WPtouch Mobile Plugin

None of those leap out as being problematic from what I know, but there are some you could deactivate anyway:
    Anti-spam (as you have akismet)
Blogger Importer (as it as done it’s job I assume)
Related Posts (that should be part of Jetpack?)

To be clear – you write a post in the editor that is say 5 paragraphs long, you hit Publish and not all 5 are then shown?

And if you then edit that post you find the content has completely gone?

Is this just posts, just pages, or both?

I’m pretty sure this will be a plugin interfering. The only way to find out is to deactivate a plugin, make a post, see what happens.
If the post is still affected – that plugin did not do it.
If the post is good – whatever you deactivated is guilty.

These plugins will not be doing it:
    Akismet
    Blogger Importer
    Easy Privacy Policy
    Hello Dolly
    Jetpack
    WordPress Database Backup
    WP Super Cache
so I would start with the others.

When did you first notice this, and what do you recall was the change you made right before that?
