Same gallery in 2 different languages.

    Hello all! I’m looking for a way to show the same gallery (only upload the images ONCE) to show in a gallery in 2 different languages. My current translation plugin is the following: http://www.poplarware.com/downloads/language_switcher_translate

    Although it’s rather outdated, I’m able to use it no problem for mostly everything! Except this. I’m able to create a translation of the gallery in question, but I cannot find a way to populate it without doubling up the images by re-uploading them to the french gallery. This is totally an nonviable option because we have hundreds of pics, and it would take far too much space to upload 2 times each.

    Basically I’m looking for a quick & logical way to mimic the gallery on this page, to the french translated page without having to literally double up on the uploading. There absolutely has to be a way to do this, I sincerely hope somebody can help me find the way.

    Hi Toker,

    Could you please tell us if you will add descriptions to the images? It is possible to insert the shortcode of the gallery to a definite post (i.e. the same shortcode for different versions of the post or page: both in English and French).
    You can do the following:
    You create and edit a gallery, above the update/publish button there is a scortcode of the kind [print_gllr id=16] (id will be different for each gallery). You copy this shortcode and insert it in the content of the post/page, for which the plugin for translation is enabled, and as a result the same list of images will be displayed for both pages.
    If you are going use description, it will be necessary to add galleries.
