  • Hi JasonClarke69,

Thanks for your message, and I apologize for such a late reply.

Have you solved this issue yet? The plugin should work with that theme.

Let me know if I can still help, and please send website link to me either here or through the contact form here:

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Rob

I am able to get the Translator to sit in my footer Widget but I cannot get it to sit in the header, maybe I need some custom code.

To be honest though we have removed the translation from the site because Pingdom was showing a lag on the site of about 2/3 seconds from it. Is this normal?

    Hi Jason,

Yes I would say this is normal because the translator loads after all page content. I think Google designed it this way to avoid having the public tamper with it’s basic functionality.

Our premium version uses inline HTML to display the translator, which would solve this issue. We just upgraded that version as of yesterday.

Benefits would be faster page speed, flags available in the language drop-down, and also lang variables that can be appended to each URL.

If you need help positioning the plugin, I can make sure that it works the way you like, anywhere you want on your website.

But if you have another solution as of now, I totally understand. I just wanted to follow up.

All the best. Let me know if I can help further.

Hi Jason, I’m going to mark this as resolved, only because I think you have moved on from this issue to find another solution.

Please let me know if I can still be of any assistance.
