I receive the following error when i try to import the xml file. please guide me on the same.

Sorry, there has been an error.
Unable to create directory /mnt/w0507/d11/s47/b01b9468/www/wp26/wp-content/uploads/2008/08. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

You need to change the file permissions on the 2008 directory to make it writeable by the server. If you would like instructions on this, tell me which FTP program you use and I will try to explain.

hei..i tried to do that..nothing have changed..can you help me?
my wp is WordPress v.2.5.1 and i'm using internet exploer..what can i do???

I am having this same problem, but fixed it by having wp create the uploads folder, ie-
1. Go to settings>misc and choose your upload options.
2. Upload some sample image or anything to your uploads folder using the wp image uploader in the editor. Then you can delete that post.
3. Then try to import the xml file.

Hi. I am completely new to this and have zero knowledge. I have posted twice to my blog successfully and now I am getting this error message:
Unable to create directory /wp-content/uploads. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
I have tried changing permissions on what I think are the right files to no avail. Can anybody help?

Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/........../httpdocs/reevaluate.ie/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2009/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
Also I give to permissions on FTP.
but parent directory is not creating.
Yearly directory is creating but monthly is not creating.
