• Excellent plugin no doubt.

Unfortunately though, I’ve decided not to use it on a clients site because of the styling. It’s fun, I like it.. but it’s not professional.

It’s a shame because the plugin is fantastic and exactly what I was after, might I suggest having a check button in its options to select a stripped back, unobtrusive style sheet.

Thanks for the feedback. There are two styles to choose from for lists, and two styles to choose from for tables. Others have indicated they think they look professional. Regardless, you can design your own stylesheets and add them to the shortcode generator using the Custom CSS tab provided on the File Away settings page.

I use both Minimalist and Silver Bullet table styles in all my professional sites for businesses, and my clients tend to think they look professional. But each to his/her own aesthetic, hence the ability to design your own to suit your own tastes.

My apologies Thom.. let me clarify because I’d hate for my passing opinion to detract from your hard work.

The styles for the front end are all good! Both Minimalist and Silver Bullet look great and totally have an air of professionalism… no gripes there my friend.

It’s the admin panel I was referring to (Sorry should’ve been clearer). On a personal site, or one where my client doesn’t have access, I’d be all over the “flying file” and quirky font styling etc (might even log-in to that clients site and change file aways settings just for a pick me up!)

But if there’s one thing I really appreciate about a plugin, it’s restraint in the admin panel. When I activate and see Seamless integration and the plugin looks like it’s part of WP core, I smile. No flashy “buy this”, “plugin news”, “look what you’re missing out on by not going pro”, “look at all our other plugins/addons”, loud graphic titles, “click here for plugin support forum”, lobster font set, bright purple background.. too many of those bad boys and your back end starts looking like frankenstein.

It was a bitter sweet comment, because I thought your admin panel was really creative and I didn’t want to detract.. but I service the medical industry and it’d be a hard sell on most the doctors I entertain.

I’ve got an option for you, to remove the animation and change the font to a more standard font, on the site settings page. It also decreases the size of the File Away banner, and removes the “About” tab. I haven’t uploaded it yet, but I hope to get it up within the next two days. If it’s not up by Tuesday, feel free to shoot me a reminder.

Hey that’d be great Thom. I’m glad I can comfortably put File Away back in the mix!

Thanks for the consideration man, much appreciated.

Version 1.9.2 is now up with the new low-key option on the Features tab.

Awesome Thom.. I’m blown away by the support you’ve provided here. Not only did you take my feedback into consideration, but you went ahead and implemented changes within a matter of days. Too good.
