   Hello!

   I am keen on adding a facility whereby an email is automatically sent to a chosen list of recipients when a new post is published.

   I had a look through the plugins but couldn't see anything. Is anyone aware of this facility as a plugin?

   Hi, you could use this, your visitors need to subscribe, and posts can either go out as a weekly digest or individually, personally I use the weekly digest, individual emails on every post could be regarded as spam.

   Seconding Subscribe2. I use the 'email per post' function myself... I only post new articles once every couple of days ;)

   mikey1 is clearly a much more dedicated writer!

   Hi again, my problems I'm afraid started with posting rss feeds, now there are so many its impossible to send them all out individually.
   But subscribe2 is very useful.

   @mike: I'd be overwhelmed if I posted RSS feeds, so unfortunately I have to do the slower 'read article in full on the website' method.

   @mosey: I know what you mean, I'm feeling that way, and may stop them soon, its too much work, and to be honest takes away the fun of writng something new. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Ah well ...

   @mike: Whatever works best for you :) It's nice to visit sites with lots of updates sometimes.
