Webmaster has suggested that, given his experience with WP, it would be wise to switch to Joomla because WP seems loaded with problems that occure with ne updates.
You’re going to get problems in any CMS, what you should do is look at which CMS has a better community for support in relation to the amount of support you’ll need.

Then again it’s probably not the core WordPress that has caused you so much issues but themes and/or plugins, and so maybe it would be better to consider dropping those instead. Unless WordPress itself is an issue with your hosting service?
Thanks, Andrew.
I have been led to understand that a host can make a difference. I use Dreamhost. Wading through the problems of disappearing visual edit screen, system saying I don’t have access to remove media, vanishing font size options, refusal of my password….. It’s just gone on an on.
That, and a very unpleasant experience w BPS Pro. Bought it when undergoing a “brute force attack” that was actually a result of using their free version.

I’ve moved this topic to Miscellaneous as this isn’t really a “Request and Feedback” topic.
Can anyone here advise me in this?
Well… this is a WordPress support forum. Many members here have experience with both systems but would you really be surprised if people here advocate that you stay with WordPress?
That doesn’t mean WordPress is for everyone and you need to pick the tool that works for you and your requirements.
As Andrew has indicated you will have problems with any CMS. You can’t really use a support forum to gauge if people have problems. 100% of the support topics here are created because the original poster has a problem.
No one posts a topic that says “Hey, I’m doing great with WordPress! Just checking in.” 😉
I have wordpress websites and blogs and I have no problems with it.I am using from more than 4 years. The only thing is you must be having knowledge.
Maybe you should find a more experienced web master? One who is well-versed in WordPress rather than Joomla! 🙂
