• I am setting up a Windows 7 machine to run WordPress, to be used as a very small intranet for a group of us.

I have IIS 7.5 installed. I ran Microsoft Web Platform Installer 5.0 to install WordPress and MySQL, and WebMatrix is running fine as well. The install went fine, and I can get to my front-end and admin side no problem by visiting http://localhost:32270/wp-admin

Question I have is, what is the proper way to serve that site to the other users on my network? When I go to another computer and type http://WPMachineName:32270/wp-admin, I just get a Bad Request error. Never had to set WP up with this kind of access. Thanks!

  • Your question has nothing to do with WordPress, however, have you tried typing the IP of your machine instead of the name? Another thing, you may need to release the port where the server is running.
