When I try and post a comment to test it out, it comes back with an "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error" message and the "website cannot display the page" message. I'm getting the error even if I fill out the comment form completely.
If I am logged into the account and open up another browser window (IE 7) the comments work fine. But when I logged out of the system and tried to add a comment, I get the 500 Internal Server Error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the help.
it must be yours theme, what theme are you using, try the default theme and see if you continue to get error
Persumably in IE yes?
Go to tools -> internet options -> advanced and uncheck "show friendly error messages", then try again. You may get a more meaningful WordPress error.
Probably related to a plugin or theme issue.

I actually get the same problem and still have not found a solution. My wedding photography blog gets that 500 Internal Error only if I turn the commenting on pop-up, which is weird. Aside from that it works fine. I'm still searching for a solution!
I have the exact same issue, but it seems you solved it, I commented in your blog without problems, can you help me? http://www.sajornet.com
