How to Copy Home Page Style to Other Pages

    Hi,

    I am new to WP. I’d really appreciate if you help me with this. How do I copy the home page (default page) theme or style to other pages. I want to categorize my posts under different pages based on the categories I define for each post. However, I want to keep the style of the Sampression Lite default home page theme for all the new pages I create (meaning the posts should appear with the same mason style layout). Can anyone please help me with this?

    Hi sp1212,

    There is a menu named Top Menu. You can select category on your menu and select Top Menu as theme location for menu. Our categories by default uses the same layout as in home page.

    Thanks for your reply. However, I did not fully understand what you meant. Sorry, I am new to WP.

    1) Are you suggesting that I use use my Categories as Menu items and not create separate pages? I am actually currently using Top Menu as theme location for my Main Menu. However, I have pages in my Menu instead of Categories and new pages do not by default have the same layout as Categories.

    2) I actually wanted to have separate pages for each main category. Is there a way of having the same layout for pages as well?

    3) In case I do use Categories as Menu; in terms of SEO, is there any downside/disadvantage of not having any pages in your site and instead have all navigation/menus based on just Categories?

    I’d really appreciate if you can help.

    Hi sp1212,

    1) Yes, you have to use category as menu item not pages to replicate the design of home pgae.

    2) You have to manually code to show the design of home page for page but for each main category you can simply select each main category as menu item.

    3) There will be no disadvantages in terms of SEO if you use category as menu item.
