Feed shows results in preview, but nothing imports
-
So, the plugin seems to be working because the preview in the sidebar shows the feed perfectly. However, it doesn’t actually import any feed articles, and when we put the short code in no results are retrieved.
Let me know what other information I can provide.
Thank you,
Anthony

Hi everyone,
I am having a similar issue. I was trying to get the combined feed for our 19 WP blogs (e.g. feeds are:
http://jesus.blogs.naplesnews.com/feed
http://slowlane.blogs.naplesnews.com/feed/
)Here is the combined feed I made via your plugin:
http://jigsha.dev.wordpress.ewscloud.com/all-ndn-blogsBut when I try to validate the feed, I get an error saying the feed does not validate.
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fjigsha.dev.wordpress.ewscloud.com%2Fall-ndn-blogsDo we need to do additional things on our end? Our sys admin installed the plugin for me, so if he needs to do something on his end, that would be helpful to know.
Thanks!

Sorry for my delay in responding, I’ve been out of town.
I double checked the documentation you included, and they did not help. The debugging information is as follows:

Hi Anthony,
Do any errors show up in your Error Log, in the RSS Aggregator > Debugging page?
No it is empty.
Thank you,
AnthonyI was just following up on this to see if there was any additional information I could provide.
Thank you,
AnthonyHi Anthony,
Can you the URLs of the feed sources you are using? The sources could easily be the cause of the problem.
Here you go, and thank you:
http://opcentral.org/aljudyop/feed/
http://opcentral.org/bskowronski/feed
http://opcentral.org/follow-the-white-habit/feedHi Anthony,
It would seem that the first feed source is incorrect.
Looking at the source of its RSS XML, the feed itself says “Page Not Found”. Have a look. The other two feed sources imported perfectly.
The second one has 4 feed items, all of which were imported.
The third has 10 items, all of which were also imported.Have you checked your cron jobs to see if they are running?
You can do this by installing the WP Crontrol plugin, and in the Tools > Crontrol page, checking every few minutes to see if any cron jobs that are scheduled to run, are in fact running.Alright, I did that, now I’m not 100% sure I know what I’m looking at. Here is a link
However, here is the weird part, once I installed the control plugin the feeds filled in. I’m not sure if the plugin made this happen or if it was just a coincidence. Can you take a look at my screenshot and let me know if that is how everything is supposed to be running and/or if the control plugin could have resolved this?
Thank you,
Anthony[Moderator Note: Please ensure that you are embedding links correctly in your posts. Link corrected.]
Hi Anthony,
The jobs appearing at the top of the list, named
wprss_fetch_single_feed_hook
, are the importing jobs for each feed source. The second column will represent a feed source ID, so you can use that to check which job is for which feed source. In your screenshot, I am seeing 4 importing jobs scheduled, however I cannot be sure if they are running well from this screenshot. This requires that you monitor them from time to time. Here’s how you can monitor them:
If a job is in the list, then it is waiting to be executed.
After a few refreshes on the Crontrol page, the jobs should start clearing out. This would mean that they are running. Once a job is executed, it is no longer shown as(now)
in its third column. It is either removed from the list, or rescheduled again for later (appearing further down in the list). If the jobs keep on waiting, try clicking
Run now
, and if that fails, try “Delete”. It is often the case that if the first job encounters a problem, it prevents the rest from running.
