"Don't wait & send right now." link sent duplicates to everyone!
-
I’m using Gmail to send, so the newsletter going out to 70 subscribers is going out in batches of 20. After the first 20 sent, I noticed the “Don’t wait & send right now.” link. It seemed tempting, so I clicked it. I was hoping it would try to send the next batch, or at worst give me an error message. Instead, it RE-SENT the original 20! So now for my first ever newsletter, 19 people have duplicates (my own e-mail was one included as a test). It’s not a *huge* deal, but it’s poor design, and it would be even more annoying if the outgoing mail settings had included all the recipients at once, as opposed to just about 1/4 of my list.
I certainly won’t be doing that again… but is there any way to check before sending duplicates, for other plugin users in the future? Or make it more obvious? I presume, in hindsight, it’s just intended to avoid waiting for the scheduled first batch to send on the hour… But it was confusing.
Also… how does this affect Gmail? I though it was supposed to be limited to only sending out 20 e-mails per hour, but it looks like the duplicate batch was sent out without anything stopping it.
