Sitemap not working? Having to rebuild manually? :/

    Hi there

    Thanks for the wonderful plugin you made.

    When access “Udinra All Image Sitemap configuration panel on our site, there is no status shown – so each time I have to click the create sitemap button. This is not ideal.

    To be clear the /sitemap-image.xml file appears to be working fine on our site.

    I’m worried the sitemap is not working correctly.

    Or indeed if it is pinging google and bing.

    I’m also worried it’s not updating with each post.

    I also wanted to know if we should be using a traditional sitemap for our regular posts and pages.

    I don’t want google to see us a spammer so I noticed the image sitemap also submits the pages to google.

    If we use a traditional sitemap will we be submitting the same information twice?

    Same here but in Pro version it’s said “Supports Sub directory WordPress installation” so I suspect that if your WP installation is in subdirectory, it won’t work correctly.

    And you need a more classic sitemap for posts and pages and custom posts…

    You can use traditional sitemap with this plugin without any issues.Google will not see your site as spammer.

    Sitemap does gets updated with each post if the option is checked.The issue is messages on the page is not displayed.So you are not informed or think sitemap is not getting generated.

    For Sub directory issue One plugin user pointed out issue with his site installed in sub directory.The problem was resolved in Pro version.But there are people using Free version with WordPress installed in sub directory

    Thanks for your reply but i’ve checked the sitemap image file and confirm it’s not being rebuilt automatically.

    Did you have the option (Generate Sitmap automatically) checked and saved the settings?

    I will try to regenerate the scenario here as well and will update you and the plugin is that functionality is broken..In the meantime you can check the option,generate the sitemap and then publish a new post to see if it makes to sitemap

    yes i am already clicking that option

    The only time i can get the sitemap to rebuild is to click the create sitemap button
