The new format using multiple sub sitemaps is a mess for bigger sites and really complicates what was once a great plugin.

Hi @cybersamurai,

Thanks for your feedback! The new format is especially useful for bigger sites, since the server load is dramatically reduced. Instead of allocating loads of memory and CPU to generate one big sitemap, the plugin feeds Google in little pieces.
