    This is done on purpose and it has warning/update messages as it goes. The process of importing images is done via ajax because a typical process would timeout after 30 seconds or so and importing tons of images could take hours. At this point, I still think this is the best way to do it, making sure a user keeps tabs on it all as it goes. I know it can take awhile but leaving something to run for hours is not a great idea either. 🙂 You have to remember this needs to be built for a typical website and is not a youtube or dropbox or some billion dollar company that has servers that can remember where file uploads left off and can continue disrupted processes. It needs to have error checks for typical shared hosting.
