Options for .wmv HTML5

    I know that .wmv and .avi aren’t supported with HTML5, but we have a client who has been using those two file types for videos for awhile and would like to retain their use even with HTML5. Is there a workaround, or can someone tell me options? Going forward, we can ensure they have .mp4 (we didn’t know they were using .wmv or .avi). Is there a way to preserve what they’ve already uploaded through the media player?

    Not using the default HTML5 media players. There’s media players that should probably work with all of those formats. For what you’re looking at I’d suggest checking the file type and use your current method for any .wmv files, and allow the HTML5 players for anything that’s MP4.
