   For some reason day names are not translated in the displayed at the sidebar.
   For testing, I used the WP calendar (get_calendar) and it looks OK.
   Any ideas how to fix this?

   I got the same problem. I'm using wp-calendar and qtranslate.
   Months are translated, but the days appear in gibberish.

   http://www.cyclejerusalem.org to see the problem, click on the English flag to see the correct appearance.

   i´m working with qtranslate and events cal too, and i found a way to fix some problems... may be folowing same as me, you can find a solution.
