The plugin is real neat, but only the odd/even classes are being added to my html. any values inserted into the widget ID/Class fields are saved but nor inserted into the html.

It would be a shame for this nice beautiful plugin to disappear.

no luck with this one, finally found this one that has less functionality but works… https://wordpress.org/plugins/zigwidgetclass/

I had this problem – but the FAQ (https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-css-classes/faq/) sums up the solution pretty solidly and it worked after that.

Just be reminded that the classes are being added to the HTML element in the before_widget declaration and NOT to the content of the widget itself.
