    This “Start Slideshow” link (HTML) should do the trick:

    <a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="jQuery('.cycle-slideshow').cycle('next').cycle('resume');">Start Slideshow</a>

    The link targets the default slideshow(s). If you’re embedding multiple slideshows on a page you’ll need to change the selector.
