• When editing both posts and pages the error message: “Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case.” is diplayed across the top of the screen. It does not seem to cause a problem overall, although I guess that nothing is actually getting autosaved. However, all of my updates to posts and pages seem to work just fine. I have tried re-installing WordPress and adding the define(‘AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL’, 160 ); to wp-config.php but have had no success. I am running WordPress 3.9.1 and would love a resolution if anyone has found one. Thanks for your help.

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

I have the same problem after update to wordpress 3.9. It can’t be a plugin issue because before with old wordpress version I had the same plugin and never had this problem. Now, only updating wordpress and with same plugin as before installed, sometimes it is impossible to work because wordpress become constantly unreachable. The strange thing is that when it stop work with chrome, if I open mozilla, for 5 minutes it works (on mozilla), when from mozilla stop work, I jump back to chrome and for other 5 minutes on chrome it works, so for keep work I am forced to jump from mozilla to chrome every 5 minutes. It is a shame… please fix the problem!
