    Hallo,

When I view a page with a table or a page with a subpage with a table I am getting the following error:

“DataTables warning (table id = ‘tablepress-14’): Requested unknown parameter ‘2’ from the data source for row 0”

I have read through other topics with “requested unknown parameter” and very often the solution is to turn off the use of datatables Javascript library. But I don’t want to do that because I want my visitors to be able to search throught the tables.

Funny thing is, it was working fine untill my colleage added a lot of info to most table descriptions in the back-end. Ever since we get the error. We have allready more then 50 tables so you would make us really happy if it works again. We will defenly make a donation then too.

The website is behind a login because only for members, if you send my a mail I will send a login but I will not put it on the WordPress forum.

Hope you know what we can do.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ariane

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I would indeed need to take a look at a page with a table where this happens.
Please send me a link via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”). Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

As you said it was because the_Excerpt showed part of the table.
I now excluded shortcodes from the_excerpt and the problem is solved.
    Thanks for looking at it!
