[Plugin: pb-embedFlash] Pause and Stop not working

    Well, I thought WordTube was the ultimate but videos wouldn’t quite load right and had problems with pausing videos. Now I’ve discovered pb-embedFlash and I love the interface even more! Videos are now loading correctly 🙂 but unfortunately I still cannot get videos to pause or stop. Only way to make them stop is to refresh the page.

    Details: wp 2.6, my own swf files (one hosted on different server than wp installation, one on same), tried with stop turned to true and false but still pause would not work, using playlists

    Now with wordtube, the pause problem only occurred if the video was hosted separately from wp installation. But not working in either case now.

    Thanks so much for such an awesome plugin!

    One more note.. The stop button does cause the video to go black but the audio keeps going. Just tried with single swf embed (as opposed to playlist) and still had problem.

    Update: I’ve now added 3 more videos to the playlists which are on same server as wp. These I am able to pause. So there are still 3 that cannot be paused/stopped. I’ve never purposefully changed the video production settings except occasionally for size, but I wonder if I set something differently (using camtasia 4).

    I would say this is not a plugin problem because it seems that the video is embedded correctly.

    Do you embed flv or swf files? If swf, it could be a misprogrammed player – if own flv, would say JW FLV Media Player has problems with your videos, maybe they were encoded a wrong way – or if the videos are e.g. from youtube, I guess your flash player installation should be updated.

    Thanks for reply. After doing a lot more research it seems to be a common problem – as you said, not just with this plugin – with no recommended solutions. So odd that some will work and others won’t. I’ll keep workig at it.
