Hi. I’m trying to make an Articulate e-learning package available to a group of my s2 members. The initial story.html file links from the post but the two required javascript files /story_content/user.js and …story.js are showing up as 404s.

I’ve read something about javascript use within s2 Member but wasn’t sure if that was the same thing. Any thoughts anyone please?

  • I’m not sure I understand. Is that story in a WP post, or is it a file you protected in s2member-files?

Sorry Cristian – story.html is part of a folder of files created by the Articulate e-learning program. Articulate produces a folder which contains all the javascript, images and files necessary to run an interactive learning module within a browser. Story.html is the equivalent of the index file if you like to start the module. I am trying to serve that using the download/serve ability of s2 Member.

Okay, then you mean the download protection, right? WP Admin -> s2Member -> Downloads

If you put that folder in the s2member-files directory to protect it, then all files will be protected, and if your HTML file has resources in that same folder, then those links will need download keys. See: WP Admin -> s2Member -> Download -> Advanced

But since those files aren’t loading WordPress, then generating the keys will be a problem, and keys expire after a day.

Another option would be to have the resources outside of the directory s2Member protects, and update their address in your HTML file.

OK thanks for your help Cristian.

    No problem. 🙂
