Hi campbell, do you have a link for your site so I can see it in action?
The normal behavior for most themes are to have either logo image or title and tagline, but not both. I’m sure it can be done with a bit of custom scripting or some css.

Hi campbell, very nice site and I like that it is responsive. I notice on the preview for that theme, that there is a widget area for social links on the right side where you want the logo image. If that is the case you might be able to put an image there instead of the social links, but if that is a feature that can only be turned on or off in the themes customization you will have to write it.
