but created duplicate entries in wp-config.php that resulted in errors and were not removed when I uninstalled.

Because you posted your “review” in the plugin’s support forum – not it’s review forum.

How do you know that the initial error wasn’t a problem on your part? Why didn’t you try to contact the plugin’s author about this before posting a review?
