Any way to link attributes from variable product to a single product?

    As the subject says, is there any way to link attributes from a variable product to a single product?

    Example being… I sell a “sample” pack. Its a variable product where you can choose 4 of our products to create the sample pack. It would be nice if I could link the individual products to the sample pack so I can keep track of which items are actually being chosen most. Also, when people go to leave a review on one of the products they got in the pack, it does not list “verified buyer” since they didnt actually buy that single item and had gotten it through the sample pack.
