What do you think of my site and what can I do to improve it?

    I am using wordpress 2.6. The site is to be my online portfolio and about me center to send to clients as a freelance web developer. I really want to use the nextGEN imageflow for my portfolio (or something similar) and have it when it is clicked and the image gets bigger to have a description come up but I can not figure out how to do that.

    What improvements can I make? I want to spice up the portfolio, right now it is just calling the posts and putting them in a particular order, need something better for that.

    Hi!

    1.Somewhere you’re introduced as a web designer and other times as web developer. Not a big issue but little confusing.

    Second suggestion is to move PORTFOLIO prior to About me. As a potential client I first want to see what you’ve done and maybe later who you are.

    3. Try to validate your site. Some errors found (7 on intro page)

    First, get rid of the frilly stuff in the left border. It is distracting and adds no value.

    “my portfolio of some of my recent work.” A little rewording would help. Avoid repeating words when possible.

    “in many different languages and many different web standards and styles.” Two manys is too many, that close together. Using and to connect is okay but two so close making different connections makes for more difficult reading. Try something such as this:
    in several languages, using various web standards and styles.

    If you want to be taken seriously, any sites you “develop”, especially your own, will be standards compliant.
